What is Astrocartography?

 Astrocartography, also known as Relocation Astrology is a type of location astrology that is used to help determine the best places for an individual to live or travel to. It was developed and popularized in the 1970's by Jim Lewis. 

Astrocartography looks at the angles in the chart and their relationship to the planets in various locations. It requires first being very clear about what it is you are looking for at a various location.

Determining this is of utmost importance.

After we are clear on what you are looking for, analysis of the chart can begin. It requires determining the strongest planet in the chart and finding locations that will allow that energy to shine and flourish! 

If you are looking for improvement in career status or money we attempt to place the strong planet close to the Mid-Heaven (highest point in the chart) which is associated with career and social status. If you are looking for love then moving the strongest planet towards the Descendant (7th House cusp) will improve the chances of finding love.  The process does take time to accurately interpret the information. When I offer this service I will take the primary question of what you are looking to find and work diligently to locate places that will best serve your needs. 

I understand that some of the places that will be the BEST for, let's say career, may not be probable to move to, so then I go in and look at the local spaces to determine if there are areas closer that your strong planets run through. 

It is important to note that we cannot change the Natal promise of the chart BUT we can utilize the tools we have been given to use the energies to their fullest potential.
